Maison O features an incredibly open floor plan, lending itself to easy setup for equipment and wider shots. The 14' ceilings allow for easy accommodation of lighting equipment
Upon entering the massive 7' double door entrance your eye is immediately drawn upward to a network of 150 year old hand hewn beams that support the roof. Each beam is 25' long and the entire system is support by a massive circular brick column that goes vertically through the entire home. To your right is the informal living room. You can also see the original wide pine floors from 1865 with the original hand poured iron nails.
To the left of the entrance is the recently remodeled gourmet kitchen. The kitchen features all CAFE collection appliances, a farm sink island, a professional six burner stove with matching hood and leatherized granite countertops. This is perfect setting for a B&B or dinner party scene as there is seating a large number of guests.
Need a classic, traditional American office. This is your space. Featuring a wide French door entry and a massive 12' high book case spanning the entire rearwall. The room also features classical wainscoting and original wide pine floors. The desk is a classic cherry wood antique.
Need an amazingly unique shower for a steamy shower scene? This is your location. This shower features a genuine river rock entrance which extends into the massive double shower. The capstone granite piece was taken from the General Sullivan bridge during its demolition.
This is the view from inside the shower where you can see how large it really is (up to 4 people easily) and the details of the river rock work
Need a romantic bedroom? Our master bedroom features tons of exposed brick, hand hen beams and wide pine floors. In addition it holds one of the three gas fireplaces in the home. Of particular note is the 'gate' headboard. This is an actual gate taken from a French cemetery, it is over 200 years old.
The lower floor is accessed via staircase from the top floor and features some of the homes stranger elements.
This dramatic shot was taken from the formal living room on the lower floor through its open air ceiling to the top floor and all the way to the top of the cupola perched upon the homes central column. The staircase can be seen on the left
This is the reverse angle shot of the formal living room taken from the top floor. The staircase is on the right. You can also see the 'tunnel' entrance that leads to a guest room.
Close up of the formal living room. Here you can see the second of the three fireplaces in the home. This was originally a cooking fireplace complete with a beanpot extension that would swing out into the flames.
This room also contains the entrance to one of the homes hidden rooms. Yes an actual completely hidden bedroom that is only accessible to those that know the secret. We do not reveal pics of the hidden room but it has its own bathroom as well.
When people experience Maison O for the first time they compare it to a castle and rightfully so. It sits directly next to a old graveyard, it has a massive gargoyle on the roof as a warning to the spirits. It even has multiple hidden rooms accessed by secret doors. So what would a castle be without a dungeon?
